Instructing Jonathan Schwarz


 

Barristers are required to accept instructions either on the Bar’s prescribed terms or on terms published by the barrister. Jonathan Schwarz generally accepts instructions from Solicitors and other Professionals on the basis of the General Terms and Conditions of Business agreed between the Commercial Bar Association and the City of London Law Society. VAT number will be made available when instructing.


Solicitors or other professionals may contact Jonathan Schwarz or Chambers to obtain a quotation for his legal services. Fees are commonly by reference to hourly rates. Fixed fees may be agreed for advisory work or expert evidence. A fixed brief fee is commonly agreed for appearance in tribunals and courts. Quotations will be provided if sufficient information has been provided and he would be willing to provide the legal services.


Factors which might influence the timescales of most commonly provided legal services include the nature and scope of the services, existing commitments, which may include urgent matters that arise in connection with existing commitments as well as holidays, weekends and other non-work days.
